Lord knows, it wasn’t always like this. Far from it.

About eight years ago, I was a top salesman at Dell Computer Corporation. I loved my job, and was making over $80,000 year, which wasn’t bad for a recent college graduate. Things were going great, but I wasn’t fulfilled at all.

I started doing talks on weekends for area teenagers about making positive choices in life and strategies for overcoming peer pressure. They loved me, but even more, I loved the joy I felt from watching their eyes light up with hope. It was amazing!

I up and quit my well-paying job and decided to become a full-time speaker. I was overwhelmed with passion and enthusiasm…but no plan! After three months, I received ZERO engagements, ZERO leads and ZERO phone calls. I had ZERO income!

We can be honest with each other, right?

In a moment of desperation, I decided to dust myself off and give it one more try, just to see what happens. I experimented with all kinds of unconventional methods for delivering my message. Eventually, I developed a memorable speaking style that made me unique from other speakers and branded my message in my audiences’ minds. This was important because I needed them to remember ME the next time they wanted to book a speaker.

The only problem was, I couldn’t repeat my success from one event to the next. It was a crapshoot each time. I studied everything on conducting a workshop or keynote speech I could get my hands on. The problem was, they were all telling me to do the same “cookie cutter” formulas…and I followed them…and I looked and sounded just like everyone else.

That’s when the magic happened!

Q: I am already a “good speaker.” Do I need to come to Presentation Power™?
